Tournament draw will be conducted tonight in accordance with the lotto results from the NY pick 10. Teams will be seeded 1-8 according to the draw.
The schedule (Lake Fairfax) is this:
08:30 field#1 1 vs 8
08:30 field#4 4 vs 5
09:30 field#1 2 vs 7
09:30 field#4 3 vs 6
10:30 field#1 (8:30 winners) - semi
10:30 field#4 (8:30 losers) - consolation semi
11:30 field#1 (9:30 winners) - semi
11:30 field#4 (9:30 losers) - consolation semi
12:30 - 1:00 break
1:00 field#1 consolation championship
2:00 field#1 tournament championship
DRAW:
we`ll use the results of tonight`s NY lottery pick 10 to determine the first round match-ups. You can view the results after 7:30 PM HERE.
First, I will number the teams in alphabetical order 1-8. With the teams in the tournament, that would be:
1. Chuck Norris
2. Goldrush
3. Grand Hustle
4. Lions
5. Midgets
6. Raw Dawgs
7. Rude Buddha
8. TNT
Then, in the order of the lottery draw listing result, I`ll take the second digit of each number to set the brackets, and start seeding 1-8. If the next number in the lotto draw points to an already seeded team, we`ll increment the number by one until we find an unseeded team (rolling over from 8 to 1), and then seed that team in that slot. If the number is 9 or 0 we will disregard that lotto pick and move on to the next lotto pick. Once I get 7 teams seeded, the 8th gets the last seed left.
FOR EXAMPLE, last weeks`s numbers on one night were: 9, 12, 21, 24, 25, 27, 28, 29, 32, 37, 41, 44, 48, 49, 51, 52, 56, 59, 65, 66
so if we did the draw last night, we`d have:
disregard 9
seed#1 Goldrush (lotto number 12 == 2, team2=Goldrush)
seed#2 Chuck Norris (21 == 1 == team1)
seed#3 Lions (24 == 4 == team4)
seed#4 Midgets (25 == 5 == team5)
seed#5 Rude Buddha (27 == 7 == team7)
seed#6 TNT (28 == 8 == team8)
29 disregard
32 (=2) already seeded team2 so work up to next unseeded team which is team3 Grand Hustle:

Lions have a straight shot to the championship because sorry to say none of the teams in their bracket half will challenge them. I think in the other half its a toss up who will get to the championship game they are all about equal. |

This draw is a waste of time. The Lions are the only A caliber one in the bunch, and even they are not ready to compete with the big boys yet. |
