I wanted to wait until registration closed in order to post this, since I did not want this information to cause teams to register for the Bark Bowl for this reason alone:
Bark Bowl winner will get the VA#5 bid to the USFFA National Championship Tournament which is being held in Fairfax County Dec. 5-6.
VA is the host state for Nationals this year (it rotates between the states every year), and IFFL/FCFFL is the host league within the host state. This means we are entitled to enter an additional team into the tournament.
If the Bark Bowl winner already has a bid (i.e. Triple Crown is VA#2, Bad Boyz are MD#2), then the runner-up gets the bid. If both the Bark Bowl winner and runner-up both have bids, then the #3 team (team who lost to the Bark Bowl winner) gets the bid.

Not quite, FIRM wanted to play in 2007 but had a conflicting tournament sched that weekend when I announced the date. They registered to play last year but had to pull out (as some of you know). They didn`t just "discover" the Bark Bowl this year, they were asking about the date for this year back in Feb. before we even knew we were hosting Nationals.
